Rock Argentino lands in Hong Kong this October, HKGFM is binging over a band that has officially been proclaimed “Of Cultural Interest”. And rock doesn’t travel alone – it has as its companions lots of Latin beats and rhythms, lashings of ska, hints of reggae. And it is an immensely danceable, hips-swingable sound they create, just to hook your brain and ears. And, so that there’s some local colour, local merrymaking giants of Latin ska, Transnoodle, join the line-up with their own special take on the sound , just to make things that much more enjoyable for you.
So, start off your week with a bang, and after all, the next day is a holiday, come along down to the show.. it’s gonna be fun!

Capitann Tifus concerts are fuelled with energy by their unique combination of fresh MúsicaMestiza, blending ska, rock, balkan and latin elements into a highly acclaimed fusion of must‐dance grooves prompting dancing on chairs wherever they play. This Argentinian band have been playing since 2004 and they are promoting their second album E Viva! on a World Tour.
Transnoodle sing of murder, lost love and other bad mistakes, but their main aim is to get the crowd dancing, and with a bit of luck grinning. Their songs record some of the strangest things that have happened in and around Hong Kong in the last decade from tales of fengshui fraudsters to failed pornographers, naked dissidents and milkshake murderers. The stories and their tunes are all driven by the pounding beats of ska, punk, reggae and rock.
